After earning his Bachelor’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Mumbai, he did his Ph.D. in Pharmacy – Medicinal Chemistry from the University of Utah. While he was doing his graduation, Mahesh developed a deep interest in research sciences that pushed him to pursue his career in the same field. Hence, later his desire for continuous learning led him to Salt Lake City, where he completed his doctorate in Medicinal Chemistry.
His professional journey began in 1995 as a Staff Scientist at Molecular Probes (Invitrogen). He worked there for four years before joining Monsanto as a tech leader. Dr. Mahesh worked for over three decades for leading Drug Discovery and Development companies, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, contract research, and manufacturing organizations. He has worked across multiple giant brands such as Syngene International, Shantha Biotechnics (a Sanofi Company), and Amgen.
Mahesh today holds an in-depth understanding and expertise in primary areas of Operations (Clinical and Commercial), Quality, Regulatory, Process Development, project management, operational excellence, and capital projects. Today, Dr. Mahesh has established himself as a visionary and seasoned business leader with vast experience in senior leadership roles.
