College of Engineering and graduated with the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical, embarking on a journey that would reach the pinnacle of success in the corporate world.
Never one to settle for the conventional route, Chandrashekar started his professional career in 1990 at L&T and worked on the shop floor assembling earth-moving equipment. Chandrashekar’s early career was marked by roles that required technical acumen along with adaptability. Later, he shifted to sales and marketing, handling these segments for moving equipment in the Northeastern territory of India, Nepal, and Bhutan.
Later, he went on to hold an influential role in Swedish multinational Svedala and supported the company in establishing a presence in South India. He worked here for over 14 years in the construction industry, overseeing procurement, equipment management, and the construction of various projects in hydroelectric, irrigation, mining, Oil & gas, and road sectors. These years of experience equipped Chandrashekar with in-depth industry knowledge and excellence that pushed his future growth. Finally, in the year 2019, he joined GMMCO’s construction business as the Managing Director and CEO.
